Private pilots are open, with limited places. How a pilot works

An example capability

Websites

Put a site online from its repository, with the price shown before you approve.

The Websites agent deploys a site from your repository to DigitalOcean App Platform. It plans first, shows you what it will create and what it costs, and creates nothing until you approve.

What it does

  • Works out how to build the site: Astro, Next.js, Hugo, Vite, plain HTML or Node.
  • Shows the plan and its monthly price before anything is created.
  • Deploys only the plan you approved, at the price you saw.
  • Checks status and logs, redeploys and rolls back the sites it looks after.

An example run

You ask: “Put the new shop site from our repository online at shop.example.com.”

  1. Reads the repository and works out how it builds.
  2. Plans the site and checks the price.
  3. Sends you the plan and the price on an approval card.
  4. Deploys after you approve, and sends you the address.

Customer chat

A chat on your website that answers customers and takes orders.

Default: Orders above your limit wait for your yes; you hear about every order it places.

Your own systems

Your shop, CRM or booking system through its API, or your database, read-only.

Default: You decide per action: on its own, within a limit, or always asks.
